Smith + Malek attorney and co-founder Luke Malek, who has served in the Idaho Legislature, was named to the Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health Board of Directors.
“I’m honored to join the board of Blue Cross Foundation for Health,” Malek said. “I’m excited to work in this new capacity on creating healthier Idaho communities and better outcomes for our state’s children.”
Malek represented the 4th Legislative district in the state legislature for six years. He previously worked for Heritage Health, the office of the Governor, the Post Falls Urban Renewal Agency and was a deputy prosecutor for Kootenai County.
“We are very fortunate to have someone with Luke’s experience, background, and commitment to making Idaho a healthier state,” said Kendra Witt-Doyle, Executive Director, Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health. “As a statewide health foundation, Luke’s knowledge and ties in Northern Idaho will be great attributes as we look to build a healthier Idaho through catalytic engagement, partnerships, and transformational solutions.”
The Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health, Inc., is a nonprofit charitable foundation established in 2001 by Blue Cross of Idaho.
